Wright to presumably include performance incentives that would otherwise by NLTBE but are all considered "likely" because it is the last year of the CBA.
I now think K. Wright's contract is one to watch -- he may be a cap casualty after all. I really enjoy and recommend the posts you and Jammer put up.
Great stuff. Appy, Don't believe Ifedi is factored in at all as he is a UFA this offseason and will be on the market to get a new deal.
Suspect he will want more than the team is prepared to pay, like all things price will be a factor in keeping him.
Believe the team might be better off acquiring a RT in the draft. Continuity on the OLine is important but Ifedi hasn't grown in step with his draft position or expectation for improvement, he does stay healthy though and that is a limited positive, but he still has killed more drives than any other player on the OLine.
The number of comp. The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits. Thanks Chet!
Is there some reason why we care about Kony Ealy? For me no, but he was another early draft pick that for whatever reason flashed then disappeared out off the league and could be a guy that has slipped through the cracks.
Time will tell. He could however be a cheap but utilitarian journeyman addition with potential upside, or not.
Thanks Kitsap! Finally some news!!! I am hopeful this player has something left in the tank, a year will tell.
It could be a good signing and his cost will be partially offset by the cut of TE- Dickson. Sure hope he spends less time injured than Dickson did.
Don't believe this player is considered a UFA as he was cut by the Panthers and is a street FA until the new season starts.
Sounds like new CBA is being voted on this could definitely change cap space and also might impact roster rules with the 17 game season down the road.
Stay tuned! Thanks Jville!!! Interesting indeed, wonder how much the Players Assn. Surprised at the one only active player increase and it being restricted to OLine.
Jimminy Christmas, that's a lot to digest! So how does any or all that affect our cap? He's already added to the roster on the strength of reliable source information.
As things sit presently after watching a combine where it appeared there isn't a great deal of quality defensive depth of talent available it certainly looks as if the team could be focusing upon O in the draft and being forced to pay for defensive talent in FA.
I cannot recall an offseason in many many years where I have as many concerns about the quality of the depth on the roster and where there are as many critical roster spots needing to be filled.
Free agency is approaching quickly and if we look at the roster under contract for there are certainly some very huge areas of need.
Time will tell with this all but I have real concern about the depth of the D generally but especially the DLine. I certainly hope JS is able to work his magic to acquire some young solid DLine talent.
Stay tuned. Wilson has been incredibly healthy during his NFL career, and Carroll is hoping this continues with No. Carroll is sure to have plenty of volunteers to play quarterback if there was an outbreak at the position, but the Seahawks coach identified Dallas and Hollister as the players with previous experience.
Tackles with knee bend and finish, driving through the ball carrier. Very sure tackler with few misses. Has range to run down ball carriers on the perimeter and make plays in space.
For an inside linebacker was not used extensively in coverage as he was most often blitzing or spying in the backfield.
When asked to drop, lacked awareness and depth to get in the throwing lane. Occasionally gets out of position running around a block trying to go back door.
He relies on instincts and quickness to make plays but is not as effective when squared up on a block. Needs to develop consistent hand use to shed blocks inline.
Has the ability to start inside in the NFL but there are questions about his skill and aptitude in coverage. Has the speed and athletic ability so a team may believe he can be an every-down player.
At this point he is a two down prospect who will have to develop in coverage. Randall Damarious Randall. Hill Back: IR. Back: IR. Amadi Ugo Amadi.
